Spokeswomen Mountainbike Camps

ABOUT SPOKESWOMEN
Our Mission is to inspire!

Located in Whistler, British Columbia, Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps encourage women riders of all levels to overcome fears and achieve their mountain biking goals in a fun, relaxed environment.

Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps cover the entire spectrum of mountain biking activities from bike fit and maintenance to off-road single-track skills including the basics in balance, climbing, and descending, as well as wheel lifts, drop offs, roots, and rocks. And for the more advanced riders, planks, stairs and whatever the trails wish to deliver!

Since 1996, Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps have worked with over 450 women. Founded by Angela Meharg in 1996, and now operated by Lead Instructor Sally Carmichael, the two joined forces to develop a series of camps and to expand the Spokeswomen concept.

Today, Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camps are an integral part of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, and one of the many quality programs offered through the Whistler Bike Park from May - August.

This season Spokeswomen presents five weekend camps for novice to intermediate riders and the NEW! Spokeswomen Freeride/Alumni Camp for advanced and returning riders.

Spokeswomen Instructors are certified through the Canadian National Coaching Certification Program and boast years of experience as coaches and elite athletes. Riders receive tailored instruction in groups of 1:6 instructors to riders. The Spokeswomen teaching format, designed by Sally Carmichael, former professional cross-country competitor, provides a consistent, safe yet adventurous learning experience.

Spokeswomen Camps offer a full weekend of great riding. To complete the weekend, meals are included and special accommodation rates and high performance bike rental rates are available for participants. Read on for more details.
