This plane is owned and operated by Tyax Air Service Ltd. It is a DHC-2 Beaver, built in Canada, has 450 horsepower, 6 window seats and takes 7 passengers up to 1,000 lbs. weight.

Canada was first conquered by canoe, but in this century it was the Beaver plane which made the most remote wilderness accessible for humans. Here at Tyax, you are at the outpost of civilization. Behind us lies a vast mountain wilderness with high alpine lakes and huge glaciers. This is your opportunity to see one of the last untouched Wildernesses of this world from a bird's eye view.

Your group will be dropped off at Spruce Lake (elevation 5050' ) for the mountain bike ride of a lifetime back down to Tyax Mountain Lake Resort ( elevation 3300' ). The trail is approximately 25 kms long and features fantastic rolling terrain, with a few short climbs.Past groups have described it as "the most incredible singletrack ride we have ever done. Between the grizzly bear sightings, the wildflower meadows and fast rolling trails, everyone finished the adventure with an ear to ear grin."
